TOSTOCK ART
EXHIBITION.
2011.
The 32nd Tostock Art Exhibition took place over the weekend of June the 18th to 20th. The sun shone, the rain came, but temperatures stayed reasonably warm.
We had a great weekend: lots of visitors, some bought pictures, some bought the most delicious refreshmnents.
Others bought fudge and
craft work from Walker’s
& Son Ltd.
There was plants of great value and quality and there were prints and cards.
The paitings showed a great variety of specialisms, from landscape to individual houses and flowers, from horses and foals to wild animals and plants, there were even samples of tattoo specimens (not on skins !!!! but photos of examples).
Altogether a super, social occasion and what a fund raiser approximately £2000 was raised and will be shared equally between the Church and the Village Hall.
The favourite painting was ‘Horse & Foal’ by George Cleaves the raffle was won by Mrs. Janis Cooper from Bury.
The Village owes a hugh debt of thanks to all those who habitually help out, particular thanks to Rosemary and Roger Lister, Lynne Jones and the Heywoods. Also to all the other elfs that humped the display boards, assembled them and put up the pictures, the folk on the stalls and the raffle collectors EVERYBODY – what a splendid village we have!!!

See You All Next Year !!!!!
